Beautifulled Illusions Tour

If you find yourself in California within the next 2 weeks, beware a band of misfits, possibly wandering roadside or speaking with the trees. Moomaw (including tabla player, Dale Means) will be traveling around playing music, causing havoc, with Mark Matos & Os Beaches. If you see a far out transvan, flag it down and hop in for some Beautifulled Illusions!

The kickoff show is with Little Wings and Apache Thunderbolt @ Hemlock Tavern on Wed Feb 17, 9:00pm. A proper ceremony will take place, a summoning of songs of the shaman.

Otherwise, the new Moomaw record is finished and ready to release on March 9. Check out the Moomaw myspace to listen to a few songs off this wild album.

Otherly otherwise, shortly after return from the Beautifulled Illusions Tour, Moomaw will be heading out of the country once again, this time with That Blasted Hound (Davyd Nereo of Beatbeat Whisper and Winnie Byrd). We will be trouncing through Spain, France, Holland, Germany and Italy. Pangealogical, you say? PANGEALOGICAL!

Haitian Relief Benefit Tonight

Tonight is a great show of eclectic bands playing for Haitian relief and I’m happy that Moomaw is a part of it. All of the proceeds go directly to Red Cross and it’s only $5 for a bunch of music. Please come and bring friends!

Family Folk Opry this Wed @ Yoshi’s Lounge SF

Please come and join a bunch of delinquent artists as we play at a swish jazz club this Wednesday. I believe we’ll all be playing stripped-down folk sets and it’s bound to beautiful and lovely. I’m not sure when you’ll get a chance to see something like this again in San Francisco:
